Amy Evermon

Amy Evermon

MS, LCPC
Amy Evermon, MS, LCPC, is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University with 24 years of counseling experience working with adult and adolescent clients. Although Amy uses several therapeutic techniques, she is highly proficient in evidence based treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Working with individuals experiencing mood disorders such as anxiety and depression as well victims and perpetrators of domestic violence and survivors of trauma are her areas of specialization. Consumers praise Amy and the outcomes they experience when working with her –“Amy is so compassionate and caring and just gives me good ideas on how to deal with my issues. It is so comfortable talking with her. She helps me keep it all together.” A lifelong resident of Coles County, Amy enjoys watching the Philadelphia Eagles play football. She can often be found in the midst of DIY projects like remodeling her home and enjoys tending to her garden. Her Yorkie, Maslow, is her constant companion.

Barb Estes

Barb Estes, MS, LCPC, holds a Master’s of Science degree with Community Counseling Specialization from Eastern Illinois University. With 34 + years of experience working with adolescents and adults, she is well respected by her clients – “Barb is the best counselor I ever had. She listens to me and respects what I have to say, but also helps me see the other side of it….I am very grateful to her for helping me improve my life.” As a strong advocate for domestic violence prevention, Barb has counseled many survivors of domestic violence. Barb’s other areas of interest include life transitions (such as retirement), women’s issues, grief, and mood disorders. Trauma informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) are among her preferred therapies. In her spare time Barb can often be found listening to mellow, relaxing music. She enjoys listening to podcasts and spending time with her family. She is also famous for her 13 pound lasagna!
Amanda Stout

Amanda Stout

MS, LCPC
Amanda Stout, MS, LCPC, is a 2016 graduate of Eastern Illinois University. She holds a Master’s of Science degree with Community Counseling Specialization. Although she enjoys working with clients of all ages from young children to senior citizens, Amanda feels a close connection to adolescents and young adults, as well as pregnant and postpartum women. She is highly competent in the use of evidence based treatment modalities including Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies and Trauma Informed Care. Amanda is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) interventions. Working with individuals experiencing mood disorders, especially anxiety and depression, are areas of focus in her practice. Teaching her clients how to set healthy boundaries in their interpersonal relationships and helping them navigate phase of life changes are very rewarding to Amanda and have yielded her high praise from consumers - “Amanda is wonderful. She listens to me and has helped me so much. I have learned to recognize my own self-worth and started investing in myself again. I don’t know what I would have done if I had not found Amanda and got help.”
Tonya Franklin

Tonya Franklin

MSW, LSW
Tonya Franklin, MSW, LSW, is a graduate of the University of Illinois School of Social Work. For the past six years Tonya has shared her expertise in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in her work with clients who have experienced trauma. She is well versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and uses them to help clients through difficult times. The positive outcomes experienced by her clients echoes in their comments – “Tonya is wonderful. She is very kind and is helping me understand my depression and what I can do to deal with it.” “She is very patient with my son and when I get frustrated, she takes time to work with me so I can better understand how to help him.” Although she specializes in counseling couples and families, Tonya notes that she enjoys working with all ages from youngsters 4 to 5 years of age through older adults. “It is so satisfying to help clients change their lives especially empowering women to increase their self-esteem and cope with phases of life challenges.” When she is not working, Tonya loves to travel to a rustic cabin in the mountains or just walk among trees in nature. She is an avid reader of Stephen King novels, loves Ohio State football, and bakes chocolate chip cookies that are famous among her family and friends. Her husband, Jonas, and her 16-year-old Pomeranian doggy, Lanie, can often be found with her snuggling on the couch watching her favorite movies – Ghostbusters and Back to the Future.
