Do you take my insurance?

Willow Point Counseling accepts most major insurance. We encourage you to contact our Access Center for more details.

How much is this going to cost me?

Inability to pay should never be a barrier to receiving quality mental health services. Along with accepting most major insurances, we also offer a sliding fee scale to those who qualify. If any additional services are necessary for your care not covered by your insurance plan, your therapist will discuss the options best suited to meet your personal goals in the most cost effective way. We never charge for ancillary tasks not identified as a direct service like writing letters or time spent on clinical documentation.

What can I expect at my first appointment?

We know everyone has a story to tell and your therapist is eager to hear it. However, there are insurance and clinical forms needed before we get to the therapeutic process. The first appointment is where you will fill out all the intake paperwork such as any paperwork required by your insurance, as well as, HIPAA compliant consents and releases. Your therapist will then complete a mental health assessment which includes a combination of rating scales and clinical interview questions to gather information about past and current histories.

How often will I be seen?

After the initial assessment, your therapist will work collaboratively with you to develop a treatment plan outlining the goals you have for treatment. Frequency of appointments is based on your treatment needs. All of our therapists have the same goal in mind which is to help get you the best treatment in the most efficient manner and that means building capacity for you to learn the skills necessary to meet your goals and to help establish natural supports within your own life. In the event you require more long-term services, your clinician will work with you to identify additional services that could be of benefit.

What happens when I need to cancel an appointment?

Willow Point Counseling is committed to providing quality behavioral health services as effectively and efficiently as possible. Although we understand that situations may cause you to miss an appointment now and then, repeated missed and/or cancelled appointments do not meet your treatment needs nor do they allow for efficient use of our resources. You will never be charged for a cancelled or missed appointment but we do follow an attendance policy to ensure everyone is able to receive effective and efficient services. Our engagement specialists are standing by to help you address any barriers that may prohibit you from attending your scheduled appointments.
